GOODBYE FEBRUARY......SPRING IS COMING.

GOODBYE FEBRUARY......SPRING IS COMING:
As I write is MINUS six degrees.
With an overcast Heaven.
With the wind that is blowing,
It feels like MINUS eleven.

I do have to venture out,
To get some milk for my coffee.
Also to give some to my adopted cat.
Whom I've called "Tennessee".

Well, as my blog is known as " Nashville Cat."
I  thought I would continue with the "State".
I bet he's feeling this cold weather,
Without a home ,how this cold he must hate.

I won't go too far today,
Stay in the warmth of my abode.
Have plenty to do and much to read.
And hopefully cast off my "Heavy Load."

Hope it's warmer wherever you may be,
Whether UK or across the sea.
Should it be warmer, please give a thought
To a very, very cold me.

HAPPY WEDNESDAY:

  1. I'm glad your cat seems to be staying around but I always feel sorry for any animals who are out in the cold weather. Is there anywhere he can take shelter?

    1. Hello Tigermouse, Thanks for your comment. I don't know where the cat stays on a night time but it's very cold here in Bournemouth. Hope all is well with you and animals.

  4. Greetings Yvonne. A pleasant piece that I enjoyed reading. Well written with good rhymes. I've had my heating on for months now! We've certainly had a cold Winter here in the UK. Give my regards to your friendly cat? Glad he's still visiting you. Spring can't come to soon. It's snowing here at the moment. Blessings to you. Take good care.

Thank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.

  8. Yikes! That is seriously cold!
Glad you're taking care of the kitty.
FYI: No doubt, you already know this, so forgive the unnecessary info but more than a quarter cup of milk will give them diarrhea.

  9. Sending warm thoughts your way, Yvonne. Last week we had a couple days of icy rain, but this week temperatures have grown warmer and the rain has been exactly what we need. It's been terribly dry here, the rain has helped. Nice springlike day today. Yes, I'm happy to see March just around the corner. Hugs. Keep you and the kitty warm.

  10. I've felt cold of late, but I guess our 50 degree weather is the tropics compared to temps in the minus range. As I get older I take less well to cold.

Yay, Tennessee! It's a great state.
